The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (referred to as the Clery Act) requires colleges and universities to report campus crime data, support victims of violence, and publicly outline the policies and procedures they have put into place to improve campus safety. The passage of Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act amended the Clery Act to include other crimes related to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
Data is available in Daily Crime Logs and the Annual Security Report (ASR).
Any person may request to inspect the institution’s daily crime log for the most recent 60-day period. The log inspection is free of charge and available during normal business hours. Portions of the log that are older than 60 days may also be made available within two days and include data from the last seven years. The log contains all crimes that were reported to the institution that occurred within the institution’s geography and includes the nature of the crime, the date/time it was reported, the date/time it occurred, the general location and the case disposition.
