ACC-OC’s Friendly Contest Brings Joy to Local School

In the spirit of giving and friendly competition, American Career College-Orange County held a canned food drive contest this November to benefit a local school.

Students and staff from each program came together to decorate a Thanksgiving themed donation box and find creative ways to collect the most canned or dried goods such as soup, vegetables, stew, pasta, and rice.

The winner of the contest was the Occupational Therapy Assistant program, collecting over 350 goods to be donated.

“We filled the entire ACC van,” said academic retention specialist Robert Baysa. “The school was very surprised with the number of cans and goods we donated.”
